William's Birthday Cake

An ephemeral work that disappeared long ago into the tummies of William Lawrence-Mills and his birthday party guests (all, that is, except for the central marzipan figure of William that was kept in storage for his 21st birthday - no, it's probably been eaten too by now).

Special thanks are due to the Lawrence-Mills family, in particular my co-sculptor Mrs Jo Lawrence-Mills who created the elephant and was a veritable fount of sparkling ideas.
